Ms. Nadine Galle

Lead Circular Economy Consultant, Metabolic (Nerthland)


Nadine Galle is an expert on circular innovation and development at Metabolic. As a member of the consulting team, she uses her interdisciplinary background to identify leverage points through which the material, water, waste, and energy cycles in cities and industry can be closed. She is also engaged in strategic consultancy with a focus on systemic interventions within different sectors of the regional and global economy. Her project work includes the mapping of regional and urban metabolisms, performing circularity scans, and developing sustainability strategies for transitioning regions and sectors towards a circular economy. Nadine has led Material Flow Analyses on various scales, such as Circular Schiphol Airport, the Dutch Wadden Island of Vlieland, and for DGTL Festival. To make circularity measurable and tangible, she has also co-developed indicator sets, such as those for circular housing tendering. To engage and inspire, Nadine has given dozens of speeches on circular economy. Prior to her work at Metabolic, she studied environmental sciences and biology at the University of Toronto before obtaining her Master’s degree in Earth Sciences (cum laude) at the University of Amsterdam. Nadine was born in the Netherlands and raised in Canada. Her global mind-set and ease in communicating across cultures, have led her to work on sustainability projects spanning five continents.
